The price of the US dollar (USD) remains at 365 Cuban pesos (CUP) in the informal market this Saturday, April 26, 2025.
The American dollar has shown stability in recent days. The euro (EUR) is currently trading at 380 Cuban pesos, remaining the most expensive currency in the informal exchange market on the island.
During the past week, the euro experienced an upward trend, driven by high demand from those seeking more stable alternatives to the Cuban peso.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Currency Convertible Currency (MLC), which is used in state stores for foreign currencies, is currently marked at a rate of 265 Cuban pesos.
Although the MLC has shown a downward trend in recent months, it increased in price this week and its value seems to be beginning to stabilize.
The overall behavior of currencies in the last week reflects the economic uncertainty in Cuba, where the scarcity of cash in hard currency and inflation are putting pressure on prices in the market.

The Freely Convertible Currency (MLC) is trading at 265 Cuban pesos (CUP). Despite a downward trend in recent months, it has shown some stability this week after almost reaching 270 CUP.
The black currency market is crucial for Cubans because it determines their real purchasing power.
