The final round of campaign finance reports – and the first for challengers to offices – are due to the Vicksburg City Clerk’s office May 25 for the June 3, municipal election.
Following qualifying for offices in January, incumbent candidates were required to submit campaign finance reports for the calendar year 2024, while challengers were exempt from the initial round of submissions.
Reported funds by incumbent candidates included:
Mayor George Flaggs Jr. – $1,220.13 in itemized contributions; no funds in non-itemized contributions. Flaggs also reported a total of $1,146.13 in non-itemized disbursements and a cash on-hand balance of -$74.
Neither incumbent Ward 1 Alderman Thomas Mayfield, who is running unopposed, nor incumbent Ward 2 Alderman Alex Monsour reported any contributions or disbursements.
All three incumbents, as well as mayoral candidates Kasman Massey and Willis Thompson and Ward 2 candidate Vickie Bailey, will be required to report finances for the period of Jan. 1, 2024 through May 25, 2025 by May 25.
